Twelve French people made the trip, all over the world, to the numerous FIP Rise organized by the International Federation of Padel this week.

Already yesterday, four French players were playing on the slopes of the Canary Islands. Eventually, only Camille Sireix and Fiona Ligi qualified for the 8th.

FIP Rise Pala Padel Nola

It is in Italy that we will see the most French people on the track, with four 100% French pairs taking on this first lap.

At men's :

On the men's side, there will only be one pair entered in this tournament and it is Maxime Joris et Thomas Vanbauce. We have found the two days side by side several times internationally (in Dubai and Monaco) and we can say that it is a tandem that works very well. However, today, a big match awaits them as they meet Miguel Angel Solbes (63) and Carlos Marti (77), seeded 2.

In women:

Six players will therefore be present, among the women, in Italy. From the first rotation of the day, we will find Wendy Barsotti et Louise BahureL. They will be opposed to the Spaniards Cayetana Sanchez Vera (208) and Laia Alvarez Maestre (236).

A little later in the day, it will be the turn of Charlotte Soubrié et Lucile Pothier to make their entry onto the track. They will be opposed to local players: Valentina Varazi (414) and Clarissa Margherita Aima (368).

Finally, Jessica Ginier et Carla Toully (TS7) will close the day's march. They will also face a local pair: Valentina Scaringi (368) and Giulia Pisano (499).

FIP Rise Metepec

Let's now fly to the other side of the Atlantic, towards Mexico, FIP Rise Metepec, where two French players will make the trip: Bastien Blanqué et Dylan Guichard (TS3). These come out of a magnificent tournament in Monaco, where they went for a place in the final.

This time, in Mexico, they will try to do as well, or even better. They will face, for their first round, a local pair: Simon Charaf Jones (593) and Mauricio Suarez Gonzalez (967).

Meetings start at 9 a.m. (17 p.m. in France). You will have to wait until 18-18:30 p.m. to see the French. Normally, the match should be broadcast on the FIP Youtube channel.

FIP Rise Isla de la Palma

Finally, a pair is still in the running for the Canary Islands and it is Camille Sireix et Fiona Ligi. Both players won in straight sets in the first round. Today, they will have a hard time facing the number 6 seed in the table, Anna Ortiz / Candela Lucendo.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
