The Granada Open 2023 gave us the first upset of the women's tournament today with Castello/Jensen's victory over tournament seed 4 Ortega/Araujo.

The new Ortega / Araujo association had its ups and downs since already in the previous round, against Goenaga / Caldera, there had been a big alert in the first set (7/6 6/0). But the adventure stops in quarter.

Castello / Jensen managed to pass in three sets at the cost of a big battle, especially in the second set (1/6 7/6 6/3). Next game against the 2 seed, Sanchez / Josemaria.

At the top of the table, tournament seed 1 Salazar/Triay is on display with just 6 games lost since the start of the Open. In the semi-finals, it will be against the seeded 3, Brea / Gonzalez.
