Alejandra Salazar is one of the greatest padel players in the world. Unfortunately, physical glitches do not spare him: rupture of cruciate ligaments, myocarditis, eyes, head.

With an open heart, she returns to “21th century” on this obstacle course and how she overcomes the tests.

Rare to see a player without injuries

In an increasingly demanding season, it's rare to find a player who hasn't struggled with physical issues and injuries.

It is essential to know how to live with these situations, to listen to your body and, sometimes, to take a step back to avoid more serious complications. Juan Lebron understood this well and that's why he decided to take a break to fix his arm.

Among the players who have had to deal with long-lasting and painful injuries is Alejandra Salazar. The Madridista has been experiencing problems with her legs, arms and other parts of her body:

  • rupture of the cruciate ligaments in the left and right knees
  • myocarditis
  • head banging against the glass
  • a racket kick from a teammate just below the eye

Overcome the challenges

She has always been able to overcome these hardships and come back stronger than ever.

Currently out of work due to a problem with her right arm, Alejandra Salazar wanted to share a video to talk about her experience and show how body and mind can overcome obstacles. She encourages everyone to surpass themselves and never give up.
