The rise of padel for many years and in more and more countries, has allowed competitions to multiply… and the amount of fees too! According to the French number 1, for 6 years the cost of a season has practically doubled.

In an interview she gave to our colleagues at Sportbuzzbusiness, Alix Collombon confides that on average, a sporting season now costs him between 45 and 50 euros in various costs. You have to take into account hotels, plane, car or train journeys, training… It can go very quickly!

Fortunately, the players are helped by their sponsors who help them throughout the season. If the results follow, they can also count on the prize money. These have increased significantly in recent years, with for example an equal allocation between men and women at the Greenweez Paris Major.

But Alix affirms, it is the sponsors, more and more present in the padel, which are the main sources of income. In fact, the turnover of most major brands of padel has multiplied by five or ten in recent years, with the worldwide explosion of the practice. It is therefore logical that players also benefit from this windfall.
