It is a phenomenon to which many outdoor clubs can be exposed: that of birds killing themselves against the windows of padel courts.

Indeed, the back panes being completely transparent, the birds tend not to distinguish them and they often happen to come crashing into them. If they arrive quickly, the shock is simply fatal...

In the autonomous community of Aragon and more precisely in the town of Bubierca, one hour from Zaragoza, the regional council has found the solution.

In fact, while Aragon is an incredible land of welcome for birds in search of freedom, in recent years the government has noticed that many of these birds are crashing into the region's padel courts.

The Department of Agriculture and the Environment even conducted a study on this harmful phenomenon for local wildlife in three padel courts in Zaragoza and was able to count more than 100 birds that died in just one year! To remedy this scourge, the Region decided to stick stickers on the windows to signal their presence to the birds. Grey vertical stripes that make it look from the outside like the window is actually a grid.

And the result was surprising because in one year the club did not deplore any accident: a success rate of 100% for this project which was therefore extended to other municipalities.

So if you too have this bird problem in your club, you know what you have to do!
