On the occasion of the round of XNUMX of the WPT Human Padel Open, Benjamin Tison shared his predictions for the Pothier/Ginier pair as well as the potential winners of the tournament for women and men.

“I hope they will surprise”

“I am obviously for Jessica and Lucile. I would like to believe in an achievement, but I think Talaván/Rufo are a solid team. Hopefully at the beginning they take them a bit high and that Jess starts very aggressively, in her style, and they take the upper hand. I foresee a defeat on a score of 6/4 6/1, 6/4 6/3 or 7/5 6/3.

I hope I'm wrong, but there is still a gap. I don't know the female level very well either. Either way, I hope they surprise me and I'd be happy to be wrong.

For Lucile and Jess, on the WPT, I think they would be qualifiers and could occasionally make it to the main draw. They would be late in qualifying or early in the draw if they played consistently and picked up the pace.

“Not very original”

Regarding the predictions, I'm not going to be original, I see Paula and Ari winning in the women's category, and Stupa and Di Nenno winning in the men's category.

I think Alix had a very good tournament with Victoria where they reached the round of XNUMX. They are not far from achieving a small feat, I hope they will reach at least the quarter-finals. They play an affordable first round, then they will face the Alayeto twins, which will be more difficult, but I believe in it.

Of course, you will have to see the conditions on the pitch, which I haven't been able to observe yet, but if it doesn't bounce too much and it's not too fast, it will benefit Alix and Victoria, I think.
