The Nationale 1 interclubs 2023 are just starting and there is already big changes in the lists, pre-established in March. We take stock.

Laura Clergue, absent from the tournament

She announced it during the FIP Rise in Bourg-en-Bresse, Laura Clergue will not be able to travel to Toulouse. The Canal + columnist will comment on the latest Premier Padel of the year, in Milan. Therefore, the original Aixoise will not set foot on the carpet of the TPC.

This is a hard blow for the Stade Toulousain which therefore loses its second best player in the ranking. It remains to be seen whether this will have an impact on the team's results or not!

Teo Zapata will come if…

For Teo Zapata, this absence this Friday is a bit of a surprise. The Spaniard should only arrive for the day on Saturday if he loses in Milan. Indeed, for the first time, the emblematic partner of Cyril Hanouna, reached the quarter-finals of a Premier Padel. After benefiting from the package of Fernando Belasteguin and Mike Yanguas yesterday, today he faces the super kids Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno.

Depending on the outcome of this match, Teo Zapata should be present – or not – in Toulouse Padel Club tomorrow for the second day of the tournament!

Victor Mena, absence confirmed

Another player absent from the debates today: Victor Mena. The Spanish player, who was to play with All In Padel 69, is not present in Toulouse. No explanation has been given yet but he has been removed from the list of players present for the Lyonnais.

Last minute ranking changes

In these interclubs a small controversy arose around the rankings. Indeed, certain Spanish players, assimilated in the French ranking, experienced a last minute change of ranking from the FFT, due to their fall in the FIP ranking.

Consequently, the Nîmes club, previously seeded 8, finds himself at 11rd place. A change that will not please everyone...

Anyway, you will be able to follow the 4 first live meetings, on the Youtube channel of Padel MagTV.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
