The A1 Padel takes a new flight. New name, new circuit but also new formats. For this new season, the Fabrice Pastor Cup is making a comeback.

The international circuit is adopting a new structure for this 2023 season. The Fabrice Pastor Cup tournaments will be divided into three categories : U14, U18 and 1000. The FPCup 1000 will replace the old Futures and will be open to players below the 30rd position of the A1 classification Padel. These tournaments are an opportunity for lower ranked players to score points and move up the leaderboard. The Seville 1000 will start on February 28. The champions of this tournament will get a wild-card for the European qualifications of the Banco Santander Seville Master which will take place from March 4 to 6.

Categories U14 and U18

This season, the U14 category is intended for players born in 2009 or after 2009. For the U18 category, the competitions are reserved for players born in 2005 or after 2005. The first tournament of the two categories started yesterday in Seville, on the courts of the Rio Grande club. 8 pairs participate in the U14 competition and 13 for the U18 category. The latter champions will get a wild card to enter the main draw of the FPCup 1000 which will begin on February 28. The next tournament for juniors will be in Tenerife and will take place from June 16 to 18.

Fabrice Pastor is passionate about padel, and for almost a decade, he has been working on its development. Convinced of the potential of the discipline, it gave birth in 2015 to Monte-Carlo International Sports (MCIS). The same year, he launched the Fabrice Pastor Cup, ua competition aimed at unearthing new talents in the padel global. This detection is organized in 7 different countries : Argentina, Brazil, Chile, France, Paraguay, Portugal and Uruguay. Some stars of padel world have been discovered thanks to this circuit, such as Franco Stupaczuk, Agustín Tapia, Andrés Britos, Martin Di Nenno, Lucas Campagnolo and the late Elías Estrella. The FPCup has enabled many players playing in South America to land in Europe to pursue a career.

So be careful because the champions of tomorrow will surely be hiding on the stages of the FPCup!
