The FFT begins its adventure in the padel by refusing the integration of padel in its statutes in 2013.

But in 2014, in particular to put an end to the conflict that reigned in the padel Institutional until then, the Ministry of Sports intervenes to allow the French Tennis Federation to reverse its old decision. The FFT will vote unanimously to integrate the padel in its statutes at the start of 2014.

Le padel therefore integrates one of the largest sports federations in the world. A chance for the padel because overnight, France indirectly becomes a nation to be counted on on the international scene. And the number of queries around the padel continues to increase significantly during 2014.

The FFT moreover does not hide. The elected official in charge of padel, Hubert Picquier, explained to us in July 2018 that “ The FFT was going to start a major development and communication work around the padel ". And indisputably, the padel experienced significant growth in 2018. And that's just the beginning.

While it is very difficult to measure the impact of FFT on the padel since 2014, it is certain that it has considerably boosted the development of padel in France and this from the first days even if it remained relatively discreet in its beginnings. Note that the FFT had achieved in 2015, a huge media stunt in the padel with the establishment of a padel at Roland Garros.

With the establishment of its elite circuit and the organization of the sport in France, the FFT shows that it intends to support the development of this sport in France.
