The phenomenon no longer stops, for both women and men, young and old alike, padel does not stop develop with our Italian neighbors.

The virus padel

There is a fever that continues in Italy: the padel ! The central region is currently the most developed region in Italy, with Rome as its capital. Milan, Turin and Palermo follow closely behind. To make you understand the scale of the phenomenon, it is enough to remember that in 2017, there were in Italy about 300 pitches of padel. Today the country comes from exceed 2000 lots. We are even transforming football fields into padel !

And the fever of padel will not stop immediately: with the ongoing pandemic, this has favored the widespread dissemination of padel, since it is one of the few sports that can be practiced outdoors at amateur.

Gender diversity in Italy

This allows the spread of this fever padel, it is surely the fact that it affects men, women, young and old alike, and members of all social or cultural classes. No one seems to be safe from this “virus”: whether people come from racquet sports or not, whether they are famous and athletic like Francesco Totti or not, it does not change anything.e racquet sport conquer everyone and creates a dangerous addiction.

With our neighbors,  some equality between men and women exists. This is probably due to the fact that the padel is a dderived from tennis which is a sport with a strong female participation. Women don't hide, they organize games and participate in mixed tournaments. Whatsapp groups go crazy to organize matches, no matter where, how and when , the important thing is to find three more people to create the game.

All we hope in the end, and it's a shame to say this at the moment, is that the "virus padel”Continues to spread with our Italian friends, but also all over the world!
