For men, as for women, France delivered an almost perfect performance by reaching the semi-finals of the European Championships of padel 2017 in Estoril.

Complete and effective French

The ladies first showed the way to go with a victory over a good Swedish team. But France was clearly the best because it had more complete players in the field.

In the first match, Alix Collombon and Jessica Ginier do not make a quarter to win their match in two sets. Then Elodie Damiano and Léa Godallier try to bring the point back home. But it will fall on the best Swedish team and our French will logically decline.

Laura Clergue and Audrey Casanova had to bring back this decisive point. And they did it in a very convincing way against very good Swedes.

In the semifinals, it will take a shot at the formidable Portuguese. France is outsider but it is not that far. Faced with the Portuguese, France can dream! His semifinal will take place at the Estoril Tennis Club Central at 13H30.

Imperial French

Among the gentlemen, France was opposed to Belgium. Nations that know each other perfectly since they are played every year in international events. To start the ball rolling, the Blanqué / Bergeron pair inherits from the Belgian Montoisy / Rochus pair. An explosive match between players who know each other well. The match starts tense and will remain so until the last point. But in the end, Blanqué / Bergon had a great finish and won in 3 sets.

Behind the pair Moreau / Haziza does the job and quickly wins in two sets his match against belgian too fair.

Finally in the 3e match which was therefore without stake, Scatena / Ritz pass.

Tomorrow, France will play against Spain, vice-world champion in padel in title, favorite of the competition. For experience and glory, France will therefore play against the Spaniards on the club's central at 13 p.m. also.
