Hit in the ankle, Marta Marrero was forced to forfeit the World Padel Tour Malmö Open. As she has explained on his Instagram account, the player from the Canaries was injured last week in training. She will have given everything to return in time for Sweden, where she won the last WPT tournament (in 2019 with Marta Ortega), but she is not sufficiently recovered to be able to return to competition.

It is therefore without the Sainz / Marrero pair that this Malmö Open will be disputed. The former world number 1 now has just over a month to recover for the last deadline of 2021: the Master Final.
