Horacio Alvarez Clementi, one of the greatest coaches, discusses the ideal posture to adopt in padel. Some tips for a more complete game.

Play at padel is not just a case of blows and displacements. It is also an attitude, a posture which ultimately allows you to send messages to your opponents during points, between points and even off the track.

Horacio Clementi gives us some advice to improve our posture on the track, to work on the return.

  • As soon as the ball is in play, move on tiptoe
  • Project body balance slightly forward
  • Shoulders forward and head tilted slightly, forehead pointing down the net when we are at the bottom of the track, and down the windows when we are at the net
  • The tip of the pala up
  • Elbows should stay close to the body
  • Muscle tone always under tension
  • Always look in front of you to make the peripheral view work
  • Keep a compact posture with the ground except when we have to play high balls where our body will be more stretched
  • Repeat the same process after each stroke
