The Argentine Association of padel will have its high performance center at the Polo Deportivo Kempes in Cordoba, a step towards the professionalization of the padel.

The APA has signed an agreement with the sports agency of Cordoba by which land has been ceded in the Polo Deportivo Mario Kempes for the construction of its new headquarters.

The APA announces its new project for the professionalization and modernization of sport in the country.

Through its president, Santiago Brito, an agreement was signed with the Agencia Córdoba Deportes, for the transfer of certain grounds from the Polo Deportivo Mario Kempes. The site will be used to build APA's first high performance center in the country.

The announcement was made in the tower of Banco Macro, in the presence of Santiago Brito, president of the APA and Héctor Campana, president of the sports agency of Cordoba.

The project includes the construction of a mini stadium of padel covered and 7 additional covered courts approved by the International Federation of padel. Changing rooms, gastronomic and recreational areas will also be built, which will give rise to an unprecedented performance complex in the country.

"We are very enthusiastic about this project which will allow us to continue on the path of professionalizing the padel in the country. The new APA site will allow us to host the most important training and amateur tournaments in Argentina, and will also be a place of training for new generations of players. We would like to thank the sports agency of Cordoba who agreed to give up the land. This is an unprecedented project in the history of the padel in the country“, declared Santiago Brito, president of the APA.

"For us, this agreement with the APA and the Federation of Padel of Cordoba is fundamental. We have reached an agreement that we will give them land to develop the first high performance center in the country. This agreement will train new generations of players and ensure that those who love the padel can practice it in a first-class center“, said Hector Campana, president of the sports agency of Cordoba.

As part of the announcement, the Argentinian world champion team presented the World Cup for the first time in the country, with the presence of Martin Di Nenno, Franco Stupaczuk, Juan Tello, Fernando Belasteguin, Sanyo Gutierrez, Maximiliano Sanchez and Federico Chingotto. Daniela Banchero was present as a representative of the women's team.

In 2022, the APA selections obtained the following titles:

  • Pan American Interclub Champion – Chile in August.
  • South American Champion at the Ladies and Gentlemen Odesur Games in Asuncion in September.
  • Junior Pan American Ladies and Gentlemen Champions in Camboriu
  • Vice-world champion for women in Dubai
  • Men's world champions in Dubai
