Victory 6-3 6-7 6-3 in two stages for the Franco-Spanish pair Laura Buteau and Lucía Rosa, in the quarter-finals of this FIP Alicante.

First in the rain and wind, after an interruption at 5-4 in the second set and a tie-break snatched by their Spanish opponents between two gusts and a few drops, the sudden downpour pushed the organization to fold the match indoors.

A great battle then begins in this third set and a few contentious balls increase the tension of this game, which is nevertheless uneventful. The opportunity for Laura Buteau to demonstrate to us (once again!) her strong character in Nantes steel and for the Catalan Lucía Rosa her natural qualities pala in hand. 6-3!

Next level at 18:30 p.m. against the number 1 seeds of the tournament: the Dutch Groenveld and Luttikhuis, two former tennis players favorites of this 2024 edition.

In the running, a great achievement and access to the 1/2 finals with the added bonus of the right to dream of better for Sunday!
