Play at padel will not be authorized from May 11th. The Ministry of Sports made it clear on Twitter to Marc Alauzun. However, we believed in it for a moment since the Ministry had initially responded favorably to Marc before coming back to this favorable opinion.

On twitter, Marc Alauzan, famous player of Padel Club de Sète received a response from the Ministry of Sports concerning the possibility of playing padel or not from May 11.

Will we be able to play padel May 11?

In the first first message from the Ministry of Sports, Marc Alauzun, must certainly have been thrilled. The Department replied to his message with the following words:

It can be practiced in the same conditions as tennis, namely outdoors and respecting the distance (4m² around you).

An astonishing message from the Ministry when we know that the padel is a sport played by 4 out of 200 m². It would have been impossible to follow the conditions expressed by the Ministry. But hope is a dream and one would have thought that the padel had fallen through the cracks ...

Except that, the Ministry logically realized its error in backtracking a few moments later with Marc :

Marc, we provided the wrong info. It appears that distancing will not be applicable in the case of padel. Doubles are also prohibited in tennis. Practice will therefore not be able to resume on May 11.
