Le padel continues its meteoric rise in France. We have analyzed the increase in the number of licensees from February 2022 to February 2023, the most represented regions in France but also the biggest competitors in France.

On average, a licensee makes 4,6 tournaments per year

4,6 is the average number of tournaments played over 12 months by a licensee in France. An average to put into perspective because a licensee can make a single tournament of padel or more than 50 over the last 12 months.

Be careful, there are big consumers of tournaments

Hugo Galibert (811th Frenchman) is the biggest competitor in France with 72 tournaments made over the period February 2022 to February 2023. The player from Béziers is closely followed by David Dumaye (779th Frenchman) with 69 tournaments and it is the player from Île de France Thibault De Galbert who closes the podium with 65 tournaments.

Baba: 8th!

Note the 61 tournaments completed by Cyril Hanouna which testify to the involvement of the C8 host in his objective Top 100. 'Baba' has even recently beat a top 30 pair with Spaniard Teo Zapata!

Vincent Gallie

A fan of oval football, round ball but also racket sports, he was stung by the padel during his adolescence in Galicia. As comfortable in front of the camera as behind a microphone, Vince will be able to bring his vision and expertise as a fan of the little yellow ball.
