These particularly laudatory remarks with regard to the next World Championships of padel come from the Sheikh Mansoor, who is none other than the president of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC).

The remarks were made as Dubai prepares to host the World Championships padel, held for the first time in the United Arab Emirates under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.

Organized by the International Federation of padel, the world championship padel 2022 is “welcomed” by the Association of padel of the United Arab Emirates (UAEPA) in association with the Dubai Sports Council and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and will take place at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, which has no less than 5 seats.

Apart from these details, these remarks show the ambition of the Emirati authorities who wish to organize an unprecedented event which would be in line with what we could see last year in Qatar, or even beyond

As Sheikh Mansoor adds, this organization follows a boom in activity in the country:

“The patronage of Sheikh Hamdan and the impetus given by the launch of the first tournament of padel of the country at the Nad Al Sheba sports complex have made padel one of the most popular sports in the United Arab Emirates. The sport has grown in popularity with the construction of state-of-the-art stadiums in the city, making the UAE a major venue for world and regional championships and a destination for athletes and fans from around the world”.

Beyond the fact that this is the first time the UAE has hosted such an important event in the world of padel, it is an important mark of recognition for the country which has shown for several years growing ambitions in terms of leadership in the world of sport.

Passionate about football, I discovered the padel in 2019. Since then, it's been crazy love with this sport to the point of abandoning my favorite sport.
