At the start of the season, the World Padel Tour published his 2023 regulations.

In addition to the novelties that we already knew like the arrival of the Open 1000 and Open 500, the WPT has decided to change its way of qualifying.

Indeed, apart from the Challenger tournaments (no tournament in this category has yet been published for this season), the previas disappear and a round of previas is added, as you could see with the Abu Dhabi Master draw.

Men

Thus, in the Open 500, Open 1000 and Master, there will each time be four previa rounds instead of three in previous years for men.

In the Open 1000 and Master, a total of 76 pairs will be able to register, with a final draw of 32 pairs, including 4 from qualifications (previas to 48 teams).

In the Open 500, 72 pairs will be able to register, for a main draw with 28 teams, including still 4 from the qualifications (previas with 48 teams this time again).

Women

For girls, tables of 52 pairs will be offered for the Masters, including 4 from previas (24 teams in previas).

The Open 500 and Open 1000 will have 48 pairs, including 4 from the previas (24 teams again).

As with the men, there will therefore be an additional previa round for these tournaments, which will now have three instead of two last season.
