Léa Godallier made a remarkable entry into the world of padel. For over a year, she has become a key player in the padel French. Considered in one year as one of the best players on the right, Patrick Fouquet invited her to the padel of the French team of padel. Rapid evolution. Where will it stop?

Before talking about the future, can you tell us how you ended up in the padel ?

I left Biarritz to go to Bordeaux for my studies and I was going to train in tennis in a club that I have known for a long time, the Tennis Club de Bordeaux, which has a tennis court. padel. I tried, and I got it right away.

Playing tennis has helped me. When I started the padel, I found blows like the volley. It was really the game with the glass that was the hardest.

As the players of padel who come from tennis?

I feel that there are more and more people coming from Tennis compared to before. So more players, especially boys, and then everyone plays well I find now. Before it was a new activity, a lot of people were starting out.

it means that the competition is tougher to hope to be in Team France Padel ?

Honestly, I do not see the other girls as being competitive because we are a team. I just want to continue to enjoy the field as always. And the girls who will be chosen to represent our Team France will have deserved it.

Your preferences in the padel ?

I like the shots in touch, to run the opponents 🙂 and unfortunately because of that I lose aggression when I have attacking balls.

Your partner for the championships of France?

This year for the championships of France I will play with my Van Daele (Editor Marianne Van Daele)

A rant ?

Unfortunately I don't have a very rant character. I like it when things are going well. But if I had to push one, I would like the padel keep this friendly spirit and that the tennis mentality does not take too much place in the padel.
