Léa Godallier is one of the best French players. Partner of Mélissa Martin, she looks back on her great victory during the FFT Padel Tour the 4PADEL Valenciennes but also on its ambitions on the professional circuit of padel : The World Padel Tour.

  • With Mélissa Martin you win the first FFT Padel Tour of the season. A final that was not easy...

It's a great victory on this new circuit set up by the FFT. In front of us, we had Line Meites and Fiona Ligi who played their game thoroughly by succeeding in imposing their pace. A rhythm that put us in very quickly. But the competition is also that with ups and downs!

We can not always play well unfortunately otherwise it would be too easy! Succeeding in winning without playing well is good too. (to laugh)

  • This type of matches can evolve suddenly ...

Thanks to Line and Fiona we know what to work on. We must succeed in imposing our game which is to be most often at the net and impact (physically too)! Otherwise we let ourselves fall asleep at the bottom. Although I love to defend, where we are the strongest is ahead!
  • You have in the viewfinder the World Padel Tour

yes we have already played two tournaments in Spain and it went really well! A very nice experience that makes you want to go there more often!

The matches are going great! A fight and a very good spirit! The girls are snarling but while remaining super respectful it's great in this atmosphere. We want to give everything and not let go!

  • Do you get to know Spain?

The level in Spain is super good! There are no easy matches at our level (preprevia)

I would say that the difference that stood out to me the most is that in Spain the girls hardly give any points for free, they all play well. Padel and know how to defend well! The matches are won at the net, the more aggressive ones win!
  • For the moment, your training is done in France?

I train in Bordeaux at 4Padel with Jorge De Benito my trainer, Jean Michel Pequery my mental trainer (we work remotely), Xan my darling and physical trainer and finally Jean-Thomas Peyrou a luxury training partner.
I try to orient my training on the physical part because as soon as we attack the high level in girls, it always comes more physical. Especially since unlike men, there are few girls to finish a point very quickly.
  • Can you train with your partner Melissa?

A little. But Mel is training in Spain now in Madrid with Ramiro Choya! We try to meet once a month to spend a few days together and train.
  • Your program suddenly?

The program of the next days: Alicante / p1000 Bordeaux / Vigo / stage team France and P2000 Lyon
The season is really launched!
