Classification Assimilations may be issued to certain foreign players, or to certain French players, so that their ranking reflects at best their level of play.

These assimilations can be delivered under certain conditions.

Foreign players are concerned:

  • foreign players with a significant Ranking in their home country,
  • players with a very good international ranking (ranking FIP).

French players are concerned:

  • players classified, or having been ranked, at minium -2 / 6 at tennis
  • players who have played in the French team of Padel
  • players with (or have recently had) an internationally significant ranking (ranking FIP), or in their home country.

For any request for assimilation, please contact the Competition Department - sberrafato@fft.fr.

Given the monthly payment of the Ranking of Padel, a Classification assimilation is valid for the current month (from the day it is established), and for the following 12 months.

Be careful, as soon as a player has completed 10 tournaments, his assimilation “jumps”, and this player naturally enters the Calculation of the Ranking. He can therefore move up or down in the Ranking.

Likewise, if a player has less than 10 tournaments in his prize list at the time of a Ranking Calculation, but that, despite this number of tournaments less than 10, his calculated Ranking is better than his assimilation, the latter "jumps" and the player naturally enters the Calculation of the Ranking keeping his new calculated Ranking.

Given the monthly payment of the Ranking of Padel, and from its entry into force each Monday following the 15th of the month, the JA must use, if possible, the last Ranking published for the configuration of its pools and / or tables.

However, if a Ranking is published less than 72h before the start of the Competition (including qualifications), the Referee is free to use the last published Ranking or the previous one.
