In the first part of the file Bullpadel, we had stopped on the two power-oriented models offered by the Spanish brand.

Today, make way for control-focused models, with a little bonus at the end of the article.

La Vertex 03 and the Hack 03 CTR are aimed at players who base their game above all on control and precision in all situations, but who need a high-performance racket also when attacking.

They are references designed to produce powerful and precise shots all over the court, both from the baseline and glued to the net.

Technology-packed palas

A surprising technology that accompanies these models is undoubtedly the system Custom Weight. It consists of custom weights that allow you to easily adapt your racquet to different types of situations. You can choose to complete your pala with three metal plates that each weigh 3 grams and can be strategically placed on the frame for optimal balance. There is also a replaceable weight, Grip Custom Weight, which can weigh 5 or 10 grams in order to promote maneuverability, and which clips under the handle.

This makes it an incredibly versatile racquet that can easily grow to suit your mood.
For example, if you feel like you need to attack with more explosiveness, you can easily shift the balance of your racquet up to get more leverage in the smash.

The basis of these palas is the construction CarbonTube of the 100% carbon fiber frame, with the technology Nerve for maximum stability and durability.
The canal Air React is an aerodynamic arc that crosses the bridge and contributes to a more explosive ball strike with more precision thanks to an improvement in the speed of movement of the in the air.

Multi Eva is the name of the core which is a mixture of materials of different densities.
The outer layers of the racquet's striking surfaces are harder, to provide a more explosive ball strike and razor-sharp accuracy.
The middle layer, on the other hand, is softer to achieve more flexibility and better comfort.

The Vertex striking surface consists of the XT Carbon 12K, which is an incredibly dense carbon fiber fabric of 12 fiber threads per cm² and ensures that the ball will have a faster exit speed. It is then covered with the rough layer Top Spin, which gives great spin and grip on the ball.

Regarding the Hack, the Tricarbon is still in the game, which will have the effect of having even greater rigidity, as well as a smooth surface for more responsiveness.
This technology coupled with the MultiEva foam and the Hack heart are found under the name adaptia.

Metalshield is a lightweight aluminum metal plate that complements the new Custom Weight system, while protecting your racquet from scratches and impacts. It allows you to benefit from a lighter racquet that still has maximum durability and stability.

Vibradrive is a kind of silicon-like material that extends over the entire handle and acts as a very effective vibration damper and reduces the risk of injury.

Players who tend to have elbow or wrist issues will appreciate this technology, which minimizes the risk of injury by effectively destroying almost all vibration that occurs when hitting the ball.

Hesacore is an ergonomic handle that is included like the previous season. A technical finesse that has received a very warm welcome from players, as it reduces the risk of injury and improves grip very effectively.

The design, on the other hand, follows the lines to which Bullpadel got used to us – elegance and modernity are the key words: the black background lights up with the logo in mustard green, quite daring for the Vertex, and the Hack offers a mix of blue, gray and black.

The balance

They are racquets with a low balance and a wide sweet-spot, which allows a really pleasant feeling of the ball at the moment of impact and control at every moment of the game.

However, that doesn't mean, as many believe, that you won't have access to a wide and efficient range when it comes to attacking the balls with gusto and inspiration.

Their low balance makes them light in the hand and easy to maneuver in quick sideways movements, and the aerodynamic frame and racquet stiffness means the power is really concentrated in the ball, giving very fast exit speed to your shots. .

Thus, you will have a substantial power reserve for explosive smashes and energetic volleys.

The shape of the racket

Unsurprisingly, it's a round format, usually favored for CTRL ranges, with low balance and full maneuverability. This is designed to deliver maximum precision for demanding gamers who want the best possible performance.

These round models also shine thanks to an enlarged sweet-spot, which guarantees exquisite control from all angles.

Difference in shape between the Bullpadel Vertex 03 Left CTR and Bullpadel Vertex 03 right

Round racquets are often recommended for beginners, as the shape of the racquet itself makes it easier to grip.

Here however, the shape has been combined with hard materials, which changes the properties and means that it takes a much more experienced player with better technique to be able to handle them optimally.

It is precisely these hard materials that make them more aggressive rackets than what we are used to when it comes to round models equipped with intermediate rubbers.

The very fact that they are hard racquets means that they demand better technical skills from the player.

Are these racquets suitable for offensive or defensive play?

Bullpadel describes these palas as models aimed at advanced/competitive level players who require maximum precision.
That said, they are absolutely not references that give up an effective offense. On the contrary, they print a surprising speed on the ball thanks in particular to their aerodynamic frame.

Advantages of CTR models

If you're all about control, want a really obedient weapon to help you on defense, ultra responsive at net while sending par 3s in bunches, then this is the series for you.

Less powerful than their diamond-shaped big sisters, but more maneuverable and docile, they are exactly suited to my style of play.

The Air React Channel system at the heart of these palas has completely changed the conditions and possibilities of these racquets. This system paves the way for greater swing speed and better shot accuracy.

CMF versions for those who want power and comfort

Note that the Vertex and the Hack have a model CMF targeting players who crave power but need a more comfortable feel.

Thanks to their diamond shape, these palas are perfect for those who want power on smashes and volleys. But unlike the other versions described above, the CMFs are equipped with Fibrix on the faces, a mixture of carbon and fiberglass that endows the core with greater flex and elasticity.

As a result, they will have a softer touch, and will provide more comfort and ball output.
If you like very powerful hits, the Hack 03 and Vertex 03 are the benchmark, but if you prefer a boost of fun, then the CMF versions are a great alternative.

Special thanks French Padel Shop (Manu, Fred and Régis) for the loan of the palas. In the third and last file, we will focus on two models for women: Elite and Flow.
