They are the discreet soul of the tournament. Those who, on and off the playing fields padel, tirelessly pursue the yellow ball are called the “balls".

For this 2nd edition of Greenweez Paris Major 2023, there are 24 of them, compared to the 250 at Roland-Garros. To officiate during a match, they are handpicked: one stationed at the referee's chair and two at the baseline.

Like furtive shadows, these young people slip between the courts, mastering every corner and secret passage. To reach Philippe-Chatrier, for example, they have a very special method: they go under the central court!

The 24 balls benefit from a dedicated space: the collectors’ room. A haven of relaxation equipped with a ping-pong table and a PlayStation for moments of entertainment.

And they experience memorable moments. Léopold, one of this year's collectors, had the singular mission of cleaning a player's vomit from one of the windows on the pitch. He will remember this match for a long time!

That said, it's difficult for them to complain when they have the best place to observe the match.
