Balance rather interesting for this first day of competition at the Estoril Tennis Club.

If the big competition really starts tomorrow with the ladies at 13h30 then the gentlemen at 18H30, this Monday allowed to see during this open individual the forces in presence and the reality of the levels of the teams.

If as we expected, the Spanish teams are far ahead of France, the Portuguese teams had great difficulty in getting free of French pairs.

For the women, Audrey Casanova / Laura Clergue and Elodie Damiano / Maï Vo will have the opportunity to defend their chance to pass the next round even if it looks very difficult. (Match at 10:30 am).

In the men's note the very good match of Scatena / Ritz against Lahoz / Ruiz.

And maybe the little disappointment of the pair Haziza / Moreau who came very close to victory against the Portuguese pair.

Two pairs of gentlemen are still in the table:

  • Jerome Ferrandez / Loïc Le Panse who really has a chance to spend another round.
  • Blanqué / Bergeron who falls against the Spanish Juan Martin Diaz / Pabli Lijo.

The French pairs have shown that it is necessary to count on her for these European Championships of padel and that the second place is not that far, even if… everything remains to be done and it starts tomorrow.
