A rather lunar scene took place in front of the Groupama Stadium of Olympique Lyonnais last night. Ahead of the Ligue 1 encounter against Racing Club de Lens, supporters demonstrated in droves to complain about the club's unsatisfactory results this year. The public answered the call of the two main groups of fans, the Bad Gones and Lyon 1950.

According to Progress, several hundred people showed up on the forecourt of the stadium to spread the message through songs and banners. Two leaders were mainly targeted: Vincent Ponsot, the general manager, but also and above all Bruno Cheyrou, head of the recruitment unit.

In their protests, the disgruntled fans seem not to like it when footballers spend time on the courts: “We don’t give a damn about tennis and padel courts”. A rather explicit statement that shows that the explosion of padel clearly doesn’t please everyone…
