Successful entry for the Superpibes in Doha, victory 6/2 6/3 against Zapata and Sans! Winner of the previous edition, Martin Di Nenno arrives with full ambitions in Qatar. The N°5 FIP savors his return with his lifelong friend, Franco Stupaczuk.

Feelings rediscovered

I'm very happy, the first match in a tournament is not always easy. We had a good duo opposite (Teodoro Zapata and Anton Sans). We had very good feelings and we hope that will continue during the week.

We trained together, with great enthusiasm. We've known each other for so long that having the opportunity to play together again is very special, especially for me. I'm really very happy to reunite this duo and I hope that we will be able to release our best version on the track.

Paquito Navarro Martin Di Nenno champion Qatar Major 2022 premier padel

Objective: to keep his title

Di Nenno: Our goal is to reach the final. I hope I can win again here. I know that Franco also has good memories here, we also played each other in the semi-finals. It would be good if we were still there on Sunday and if we win the title, that's even better. But there is still a long way to go, we are progressing step by step.

Victorious last year with his ex-partner Paquito Navarro, Martin wants to repeat the performance for this 2023 edition. “Los Superpibes” face the Spanish pair Goenaga / Bautista this Thursday at 15:30 p.m. in the round of 8 on court number 4.
