Interviewed by our colleagues from Relief, Miguel Yanguas returned to the Qatar incident and in particular to his relationship with Juan Lebron. Excerpts.

He owes a lot to Lebron and Galan

“I have a lot of affection for Juan, there are no problems between us, what happens on the court stays on the court. If I play well today, it's thanks to Lebron and Galan). I trained with them when I was at the M3 academy, they helped me become a better player and a better athlete. I owe them a lot, our relationship is very good.”

A coffee in Mexico!

“I haven’t spoken with Juan yet. Javi wrote to him on WhatsApp and everything is fine, but I haven't spoken with Ale and Juan yet. I’m waiting for a few days, for them to train, for them to be calm, and we’ll talk quietly over coffee.”

The best for Juan

“These are things that happen, it can happen to Juan, another day it will happen to me and we have to learn from it and move on because we are all human and we make mistakes. We can improve and I am sure Juan will be ready for the next tournaments and I wish him all the best.”

“The whole audience was agitated, people were excited, so they set up security so we could all shower and go to the hotel: Premier Padel and the Qatar Federation handled the situation very well.”

Finally, when asked about the new pairs, the Andalusian believes, a bit like Arturo Coello, “that no pair will be as strong as that formed by Lebron and Galan”...
