We have already talked about it: the council of the International Federation of Padel has exceptionally changed the format of the 2024 World Padel Veterans Championship – initially planned with 16 participating teams – due to the large number of requests from countries around the world. A total of 30 men's national teams and 22 women's national teams will travel to this competition, which is being played from April 15 to 20 in La Nucìa (Alicante, Spain).

Format
In the competition male, there will be a preliminary phase on April 13 and 14 with nine European national teams: Lithuania, Finland, Netherlands, Croatia, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Norway. They will be divided into three groups of three teams, with the first in each group advancing to the final phase.
Then, eight groups of three teams will form and the first in each group will advance to the quarterfinals, while the others will fight for rankings from 9th to 16th place and 17th to 24th place.
The 22 national teams participating in the competition Women, for their part, will be divided into six groups of three and one group of four. After the group stage, the first-placed teams will compete for places 1-7, the second-placed teams will compete for places 8-14, and the third- and fourth-placed teams will compete for places 15-22 .
The categories for male and female pairs will be: over 35, over 40, over 45, over 50 and over 55.
