Full success for the four women's tricolor pairs in the final of the 2024 Senior Plus World Open, with a new 4/4. In the +35, +40, +45 and +50 categories, the French women managed to win world gold, like Adrien Maigret and Maxime Moreau earlier in the day.

Several French women, already silver medalists in the final of the World Team Championships, wanted double the stake with a new medal…preferably gold! The least we can say is that they shone!

The first three meetings of Frenchies were perfectly maneuvered, with flawless victories, in two sets. A slightly tighter match for Charlotte Soubrié and Mélanie Ros who were able to count on their teammates to carry them into the stands.

After a long battle, Charlotte and Mélanie went to find a fourth gold medal in a row!

results:

  • +35 years: Charlotte Soubrié / Mélanie Ros beats Linn Kallio / Anna-Viktoria Björkman-Lind: 6/4 3/6 6/4.
  • +40 years: Julie Pécastaing / Amélie Détrivière wins against Annalisa Bona / Sara Dambrogio: 6 / 2 6 / 2.
  • +45 years: Peggy Maignien / Émilie Loit wins the match against Roberta Zandarin / Sabina Da Ponte: 6 / 2 6 / 4.
  • +50 years: Catherine Lalanne / Alexia Dechaume wins against Victoria Liz Costabel / Mariana Beatriz Talarico Nolasco: 6 / 2 6 / 2.

Well done ladies for this incredible week!

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
