Monte-Carlo International Sports (MCIS) was born as a real alternative to the current circuit: the World Padel Tour (WPT), but it will ultimately remain in the dream state.

MCIS wanted to create the International Padel Tower (IPT). However, it will not see the light of day as indicated to us in a note released on October 4, MCIS.

This note also tells us that MCIS completely renounces the Padel whether at the amateur or professional level, and the Monegasque entrepreneur Fabrice Pastor, CEO of MCIS, will no longer retain his place within the company.

This farewell also supposes the farewell of the Fabrice Pastor Cup, which is a circuit of Padel, with a few tournaments, which aimed to help players reach the professional circuit.

The battle for the professional circuit of Padel has a winner

In a previous article, we showed you that the WPT and IPT were in competition, and were fighting a battle to become the only professional circuit in Padel. And it didn't seem very logical that for 2019 it would stay the same, that the two circuits could exist.

The IPT has managed to have the support of 150 professional players, by promising among other things a higher price money or more accessible streaming. The war for the Padel professional was launched.

On the other hand, the weather did not play in favor of the IPT, since the WPT advanced in its negotiations with a group of players.

In addition, the Damm Group, a partner company of the WPT, allowed the latter to have the necessary guarantees to preserve its circuit until 2023 at least. This marked a big step forward for the WPT, and the beginning of the end for the alternative circuit.

The interview of Fabrice Pastor at Radio Marca Baleares

The Monegasque entrepreneur gave an interview to a Spanish radio station, guest of the program " Padel Marca ”, where he scratched the way the WPT runs its circuit. He also thanked all the players who supported him in this adventure, Paquito Navarro, Juan Lebron, to name a few. Finally, he indicated that he was completely withdrawing from the world of Padel, and therefore leaves the field open to World Padel Tour.
