So many surprises in this first Open to Padel 3 in Troyes.

Even if it is not Troy where the fighting was intense centuries ago, we can say that this Saturday was very turbulent during this P1000.

Indeed, on the upper part of the table, it was a real massacre!

It is no less than the seeds 2, 4, 7 and 8 who fell “by the wayside” even before the ¼ finals!

Hanouna / Maigret – A defeat in the first round

Yes, the 2nd seed, Cyril Hanouna / Adrien Maigret, who we saw making his way, had to lose to the 15th pair of the Couturier / Durban tournament, who in the process found themselves in the semi-final after a new victory against Olivier / Wolff (12) who had beaten the Parisian pair Grodenic / Pommier (7) in the previous round.

Authier / Poirieux – The surprise defeat

The other big surprise is certainly the defeat of Authier / Poirieux (4) in their first round in the 8th against Stark / Bertrand who is only the 20th pair in the tournament and who finds themselves in the semi-final.

We will therefore have at the top of the table, the 15th pair in the table facing the 20th, a great first a priori in a P1000 at this stage of the competition.

The favorites at the bottom of the table

At the bottom of the table, it's quite the opposite since we find the 3rd seed Mitjana / Fouré, who was however very hot in the quarter against Dandois / Forichon, facing the 1st seed, Bayard / Garcia .

It was well worth a little photo of the Couturier / Durban pair who created the feat by eliminating the number 2 seed of the tournament, in the 1/8 finals!!

Come on aficionados, we'll see you tomorrow with “coach Zorrus” at the helm from 11 a.m. for the ½ finals live on Padel MagTV.
