The organization of the French championships padel 2018 will evolve.

The implementation of territorial reform will change most leagues:

  • 13 Metropolitan Leagues
  • 5 overseas leagues.

Opposite, the name of the metropolitan leagues

The 2018 France Championships will now include 2 or 3 phases, depending on the organization specific to each League (interregional phases are removed:

Departmental Championships or sectors organized eventually by some Committees, and qualifiers for the Regional Championship (attention: this phase is in no way obligatory - inquire with your league)

Regional leagues organized by the Leagues, qualifiers for the French Championships. Each League will qualify a women's team and a men's team for the French Championships.

The French Championships (final stage): 24 women's teams and 24 men's teams will participate.

=> For each event, the 13 winning teams of their Regional Championship + 9 “drafted” teams will be selected according to the “weight” of the Regional Championship and the classification of the teams that can be drafted. A League may therefore have 1, 2 or even 3 additional teams qualified for the French Championships.

A very strong League can therefore have a maximum of 4 women's teams and 4 men's teams qualified for the French Championships, 8 in total.

The Leagues will have until 31 July 2018 to organize their regional championship.
