The Tennis Club of Pau hosted this weekend the “Pau Open Padel Female P1000 ”. A tournament combining performance and conviviality, the opportunity for local players to rub shoulders with the French elite. A quality game linked to an irreproachable fair play, such were the ingredients which the spectators present were able to admire.

A tournament made on 2 days. On Saturdays, as an appetizer, all the first laps of the main draw. To make the tournament a party, the evening was a gala dinner with a friendly meal shared by the players, their relatives and all club staff and volunteers.

On Sunday morning, all the classification matches and the semi-finals were played.

The final, played in the afternoon, was between Lea Godallier and Fiona Ligi against Carol Ann Lovera and Audrey Casanova. A big thank you and hat to the present audience who has endlessly supported the 4 players.

At the end of a spectacular match where power and skill mingled, the pair Godallier / Ligi wins the victory 6 / 3 7 / 5.

The Pau Tennis Club wishes to thank the 30 players who have taken the plunge, the volunteers, without whom nothing would have been possible, as well as all its partners, ST37, Nocibé, electronic Milfa, AXA, Pau Béarn Habitat, the Departmental Council of Pyrenees Atlantiques, Decathlon, Inspyr Energy Environment and the City of Pau.

ST37, a startup from Pau, ensured the live broadcast of the final and semi-final on their Youtube channel, but also tested their video arbitration process, a first in France at the level of Padel.
