The final of the P1000 SisID PadelShot Lyon promised a great game. The 1st seed, Moreau/Bergeron, met his runner-up, the pair Forcin/Grué.

Balanced meeting, in Lyon, with a lot of exchanges and crazy points. Both teams will have developed their best level, throughout the game. However, there had to be a winner. Finally, victory of Maxime Moreau and Johan Bergeron in 2 sets: 7/6 6/4.

Set points saved for Moreau/Bergeron

The tournament favorites will not have not been to the party during the first round. Moreau and Bergeron are broken in their first service game and run behind the score. On the other side, Maxime Forcin and Benjamin Grué always push a little more to grab points.

Despite everything, the 1st seed manages to come back… But it was hard. Maxime and Johan obtain several break points at 4e game of the game and yet, we will have to wait 2 additional games to see them come back to score.

The nightmare does not end, however, since they are broken again the next game. This time, the Forcin/Grué pair is serving for the win of the first round. Facing them, the other Maxime and Johan are heroic. He erased 3 set points to get back on track.

The round heads straight towards a tie-breaker decisive. Confident after not one, but two comebacks, Maxime Moreau and Johan Bergeron win the first set : 7 / 6.

A break and everything changes

The start of the second set turned out to be more balanced. Both teams won their serves quite easily and neither managed to get a break opportunity.

You will have to wait until the 7the game of the part to have the first opportunity to break, in favor of Bergeron and Moreau. They manage to disturb their opponents and make them make many more small mistakes. Max and Johan then break on yet another fault from seed 2.

Maxime Forcin and Benjamin Grué take a blow on the head after this break. In addition, they come up against the monstrous defense of Johan Bergeron…followed very closely by a diving defense from Maxime Moreau. They face a real wall.

Obviously he was too complicated for Benjamin Grué and Maxime Forcin to return to this meeting. Despite all their good will, the step was too high. After a little over 1h10 of play, Max Moreau and Johan Bergeron won: 7 / 6 6 / 4.
