Le Toulouse P2000 will it take place this weekend? If one believed for a moment in a possibility of seeing the test be confirmed, theMoral is not in good shape this evening.

Our colleagues from the Dispatch have contacted the prefecture of Haute Garonne this afternoon. The prefecture should position itself on all government measures Friday 25 September. Clearly, it is impossible to know before if the ordeal of padel can be maintained from now until this evening, unless an intervention takes place in the evening.

The Minister of Health explained that “confined spaces where wearing a mask is impossible, or at least complex complex (...) are unfortunately important places of contamination“. He has granted 48 hours to the prefectures reinforced alert zones to do what is necessary locally and prepare the system.

The measures are supposed to apply from this Saturday, September 26. But… there is still some ambiguity about the date that the prefecture will choose: Saturday or Monday? If unfortunately the structures of padel covered will have no choice but to close from Monday, there is still a small chance that the prefect does not impose to close the covered structures on Saturday and thus allow Toulouse events to take place.

In Toulouse, beyond the P2000 du Toulouse Padel Club, there will also be the “Final Four” of the French Volleyball Cup 2019/2020 which has already been postponed many times… The match is scheduled for this Saturday. We know that there will be no more than 1000 people around the field. But will the prefect ultimately ban sporting events from Saturday?

Regarding the P2000 Toulouse, there may be an intermediate choice: The event could start tomorrow as planned, and possibly even continue in part on Saturday. In a context like this, we try to make hypotheses to pass between the drops.

In the event that on Friday, the prefect cancels the establishment of sporting events on Saturday, then the matches played on Friday would not count. But at least if the prefecture finally authorizes sporting events this weekend, we will not have wasted time.

As you can see, situations can change almost every minute. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
