On the weekend of September 17, Stockholm hosted the largest fair in padel never organized in the history of this sport. Padel Magazine was on hand at the Padel Exhibition to find out what's new on the market.

Everyone (or almost) together

A simply titanic plan. Looking at this illustration of the living room, we understand that the padel took on another dimension in 2022.

The majority of pala brands were present at this show, even if they didn't really have anything new to present in September. The show was particularly interesting for brands that develop other activities in the world of padel.

This is how we were able to meet tournament organizers, cosmetics manufacturers padel, academies for players, or a textile manufacturer padel 100% for children!

Mixed but positive results

The results for exhibitors were mixed. While some congratulated themselves on having been able to meet many important people in the industry with whom partnerships would follow, others complained about the low number of public.

Indeed, on the flagship day (Saturday), the organizers had sold 3 tickets - at prices ranging up to 000 euros. However, less than 25 people came. The competition from World Padel Tour had a big impact on this low attendance.

La Padel Expo 2022 had been planned for a very long time, but the dates for Swedish Padel WPT Open were changed and the two events coincided. With between 45 and 90 minutes between the two sites, it was very difficult for fans to padel Swedish to travel to both places on the same day.

For a first, and even if the attendance was limited, the results remain positive for the world of padel. A second edition will also take place at the beginning of 2023 in Rome (Italy).
