It's rare enough to point out: padel can also be written paddle. The spelling of this sport can even be written in 3 different ways.

Padel, paddle or even paddle tennis. How should it be written today?

We still wrote Paddle regularly before the 2000s. Then to differentiate stand-up paddle in particular from paddle, things evolved in PADEL.

But here too, it's not so simple since you can read here and there, especially on the side of the Anglo-Saxon countries: Paddle Tennis.

Since the 2010s, however, we have seen the word Padel take precedence over all other scriptures.

But what is surprising is that the International Federation of Padel never took the time to make a point on the word Padel. Even on its site, you can see some traces of Paddle! But today, here too, the FIP only writes “padel".

Remember that in the 80s / 90s in Spain there was a magazine of padel which was called Paddle Magazine. Today it no longer exists. We see the Mexican Enrique Corcuera, the creator of padel. It took us a long time to find this photo. This is a collector's photo that we offer you.

Whatever happens, for now, it doesn't matter who you write about Padel since everything seems to be written officially, even if today, the spelling PADEL naturally imposes itself around the world.

On Google in France, at least it's clear. Paddle Tennis is hardly said any more contrary to the word padel exploding since 2013/2014.
