In Karachi, south of Pakistan, a strange field appeared right in the middle of Legends Arena, a huge sports complex in the city. A land of padel first saw the light of day in the structure, then another some time later, and so on, so that today, the complex now has 5 tracks!

The arrival of padel in Pakistan

There are two men behind the maneuver: Jahangir Khan, Pakistani squash player and president of Legends Arena, as well as Talal Shah Khan, CEO of Legends Arena. The two men decided to unite in this project to promote the padel in Pakistan.

The idea comes from Talal, who discovered the padel during a trip to Dubai. As we know, this sport has taken a lot of scale in the United Arab Emirates, where he knows a exponential growth. After his discovery of the discipline, the businessman said to himself: “If it's good enough for Dubai, it should be good enough for Karachi too.” This is how the padel was born in this city of Pakistan.

La padel in Pakistan, a success?

The bet is taken and the first field has been operational since August 2023. Now, the question arises: le padel has he won the hearts of Pakistanis? Apparently yes !

According to Legends Arena figures, the average attendance is around 500 to 800 people per day, with this number increasing on weekends. To this, Talal Khan also added: “A tournament recently saw 48 teams register in 30 minutes. Another upcoming tournament is already sold out, with high demand for the women's categories as well."

Pakistan, like many countries, see it padel begin to conquer the hearts of its inhabitants. But what future for this sport in this Asian country? Well, it's very simple: the company Legends Arena has declared that it is studying the idea of creating centers of padel very large scale. Complexes that would be called Legends Padel Edition and who could count on 25 to 30 tracks !
