This is one of the good news of the moment, and it is with great pleasure that we are going to tell you about it today.

In Spain the group of stores “The English Court” and the Valencian region have decided to launch a series of palas for people with intellectual disabilities. The President of the Federation of Padel of the Community of Valencia, Alfonso Monferrer has chosen to promote, alongside the large Spanish group, a solidarity initiative that will allow young and adult disabled people to make the practice of padel more accessible.

These new palas will be available from next March in all centers The English Court of the region of Valencia. The funds raised will be donated to the project DI Padel in el Cole who wants to make it easier to access padel at school. This mission will be developed in all special education schools in the Valencian Community. The rackets sold on this market will be characterized first of all by a much lower weight (250g against usually around 360g), but also a smaller handle diameter which will offer players a better grip.

The main objective of this approach is to introduce children with intellectual disabilities to the practice of padel and to ensure that disabled athletes with specific needs can still fully exercise their discipline. These palas will therefore be available very soon in all the sports departments of El Corte Ingles centers in the Valencia region.

We welcome this initiative and recall that sport must be accessible to all and that no one should be excluded because of their age, gender, social background or any disability.
