Who would have thought that one day the players of padel Paquito Navarro and Juan Lebron are obliged to explain themselves in the public square?

And yes, who would have believed it? Two great champions of padel are obliged to explain their decisions or their actions.

In times of confinement, people are more spectators of the life of artists than usual. All the facts and gestures are scrutinized.

Paquito Navarro had made a video from his balcony where he was trying to send the ball to a neighbor in the building opposite. Bad luck, his ball ends up running in a window.

This video had caused a buzz, even appearing on a Spanish television program. Following attacks by some viewers and even presenters, Paquito had to explain.

Today is Juan Lebron's turn. To explain the situation, Juan began his confinement in Madrid, in an accommodation which is not his. Domiciled with his parents in Andalusia, aged, he decides to make the journey Madrid-Puerto Santa María, to return to their sides, support them and thus not expose them to the outside world.

This announcement was very strongly criticized, saying that a champion of this caliber must lead by example and must not allow himself to break the laws.

It is therefore in a press release made on Instagram that Juan Lebron explains.

“The reason for this publication is to clarify as much as possible how I achieve my confinement in the face of possible unfounded criticisms that do not at any time reflect my personal, family and professional situation. As a good citizen and at all times respecting Spanish health recommendations, I would like to communicate:

1- I carry out the confinement following the directives of the government of Spain

2- I started said confinement in a home which, for work reasons is “transitory” (because my residence is itinerant according to the tournaments and scheduled training).

3- After the Government has extended an additional 15 days, without knowing whether these extensions will be renewed, and approving the decree which prohibits the work of non-essential activities, I take the decision to move to my home, because I considers it more useful to my parents so as not to force them to go out on the street to make purchases or other types of circumstances that would increase the risk of contagion, knowing that they are older than me (the recommendations are to provide assistance to the population considered at risk).

4- Moving from Madrid to my home in Puerto Santa María I will do it by public transport, respecting all standards. I will carry with me the declaration explaining the reason for my trip, if I undergo a police check.

5- I believe that we cannot demand other conduct. Once clarified my situation, I have the right to achieve my confinement close to mine. I even have the obligation to help my parents as most young Spanish people would do by taking care of their own. That said, and against the bad comments of some people, I do not realize any irregularities.

I hope you understand me. We will quickly get out of this situation. Hi all."

To be professional is to be followed, admired and criticized, that's how it is. Strongly the resumption of competitions and the resumption of play.
