Could this be the new trend? 2020 would be the season when the legendary players of the World Padel Tour unite with the young rising stars? Why not.

It all started in 2019 with the announcement of Juan Martín Díaz who wanted to play with Agustín Tapia, a young up-and-coming player from Argentina, who was a fan of the stars of padel of which JMD was a part. The story we know it, JMD got injured and Agustín found himself alongside another star, Fernando Belasteguín. A formula that seems to work because Bela and Tapia will continue together in 2020.

And to continue with great stories, you have to stay on the side of Argentina. Searching the annals, we find Miguel Lamperti and Lucas Bergamini. Young Lucas, passionate about padel, had met his idol Miguelito when he was a child. In 2020, they will play together.

For Mieres and Garrido it is even more impressive. An adventure that has lasted for years. First of all a young player, Javier Garrido was able, on several occasions, to meet Juani Mieres on and off the track. This year it will be a little more than usual because they will be playing together.

Mieres / Garrido: A love story?

Imagine for a moment what must be going on in the minds of these young players, who from one day to the next find themselves sharing the track with their childhood idol. As we have seen with Tapia, we should see players give everything to not disappoint the “masters”.
