The French Tennis Federation has updated the sports regulations. The FFT specifies the status of the referee padel.

Training and technical upgrades for referees and referees padel  / tennis / beach tennis are entrusted to trainers.

Referees, Umpires and Trainers must hold a license for the current sporting year and be referred to as "active" in the federal administrative base. An inactive qualification does not allow an officer (see articles 16 and 22 bis).

Attributions and modifications of the different levels of qualification

Team JAE qualifies for three national levels - JAE 1, JAE 2 and JAE 3 - and JAT Tri-level Individual Referee (JAT) - JAT 1, JAT 2 and JAT 3.

The qualification of referee padel nationally has two levels - JAP 2 and JAP 3.

This qualification is conferred, for the first two levels of JAE and JAT and for JAP 2, by the league office of the license holder on the proposal of the regional arbitration commission of this league which passes the interested party beforehand. examination required for the qualification concerned.

Qualification of referee can only be issued to a licensee aged 18 and over.

Jurisdiction of JAT

• JAT 1 is competent to organize, within the club in which it is licensed:
- internal tournaments;
- NC and 4e series tournaments;
- youth tournaments, excluding those on a list defined annually by the league and whose homologation requires a JAT 2 or higher qualification;
Multi-Chances Tournaments and any beach tennis competition, padel or wheelchair tennis approved by the FFT. A derogation may be granted, subject to the formal agreement of the league which controls their annual activity, to officiate in another club. He may also be the assistant of a superior umpire for any tournament.

• The JAT 2 is competent to organize, on the territory of its league, any individual competition (singles and doubles) approved by the FFT, as well as any competition of beach tennis, padel or wheelchair tennis approved by the FFT.

• 2 JATs perform their duties only in the territory of the league that has issued the qualification. A derogation may be granted subject to the formal agreement of the league which controls their annual activity and that of the league where the competition concerned is to be held.

• The JAT 3 and the FJAT 3 are competent to organize, on the national territory, any individual competition of tennis, beach tennis, padel or wheelchair tennis approved by the FFT.

• The international referee has the same skill as the 3 JAT and the 3 FJAT, extended to the competitions

The JAP 2 is competent to organize, on the territory of its league, any competition of padel, tournament or championship, approved by the FFT, from P100 to P1000 included. With the formal agreement of the leagues concerned, he may officiate in the territory of another league.

• The JAP 3 is competent to organize, on the national territory, any competition of padel approved by the FFT.

REFEREE

The qualification of referee, which can be delivered to any licensee of 13 years and more, involves on the national level three levels: A1, A2 and A3.

The qualification of arbitrator padel (AP) can be issued to any licensee 13 years of age and over.

A1, A2 and AP referees' qualifications are conferred by the league's league office on the proposal of the regional league's refereeing commission which has previously passed to the person concerned the examination required for the qualification concerned. . The league office also validates Accreditation of Acquired Experience (VAE) applications for A1 and AP referees exclusively.

The AP arbitrator is competent to arbitrate any part of padel taking place in the territory of the league which issued its qualification. A waiver may be granted subject to the formal agreement of the league which controls its annual activity and that of the league where the relevant competition is to take place.
