The former professional football player and current consultant at CANAL+ Group declares his love for the padel on LinkedIn. Its history with the yellow ball and the pala started in 2006 in Villarreal and today the possibility of investing in the padel would not displease him.

I play it almost every week

“It was in 2006 in Villarreal that I had the opportunity to discover the padel. This sport was then very little known in France, but Pascal Cygan suggested that I go and play one day when we had no training. I was hooked right away, it was fun, I quickly had fun and since then I've been playing it almost every week!

The accessibility of the sport is really a plus. You can play with everyone, both with a beginner player and an experienced player, it's a mix of all levels!

You must have seen that many former top athletes have become addicts! I was able to meet and confront Marat Safin, I believe that former tennis players love the padel, they find some similarities. On the football side, I was also able to play with Ronaldo or Zidane and we all enjoy it!”

I hesitated to launch my complex of padel

“Why tell you about it here? To make you discover my other passions but also to have your opinion on the evolution of this sport in France and in Europe.

I hesitated to invest and launch my complex of padel when I was in London I had found the location, but it was far from the city center.

A problem also encountered in other large cities, such as Paris. I keep this idea in mind and the future may give me the chance to embark on this adventure!

What does Linkedin think about the economy of padel In France ?"

Do you think the 1998 World Champion will take the plunge, as other former professional footballers before him?
