It's official, Jean Castex, the Prime Minister, in his speech this morning just announced that thehe practice of tennis individually and outdoors was going to be authorized as of November 28.

It's back to tennis

In 2 days, sports clubs offering outdoor tennis will therefore be able to reopen again.

Both adults and children can come and play tennis in the tennis centers.

Good news for all tennis players.

You can running in public space or practicing your individual sport in a stadium or an open sports ground, such as tennis, horse riding, athletics or golf

The Prime Minister adds:

Sport in enclosed spaces and outdoor “team or contact” sports remain prohibited for the time being.

Le padel in doubt

Le padel is it considered as a team or contact sport? this is the eternal question. We can consider that it is a team sport even if the sport seems harmless. We are awaiting a return from the FFT to find out more about the reopening or not of the clubs of padel outdoor from November 28th.

The most predictable option is the ability to play the game again. padel but in 1 against 1. The clubs will therefore certainly not reopen because the padel is a sport that is played mainly in doubles.

Reminder: relief in 3 steps

The Prime Minister recalled the three stages of containment relief fixed by Emmanuel Macron:

  • From saturday : reopening of shops, widening of the perimeter and duration authorized for walks, resumption of religious services
  • From December 15 : opening of theaters, cinemas and museums, resumption of extracurricular activities indoors
  • From January 20 : reopening of restaurants and sports halls, resumption of face-to-face classes at high school

Good luck to everyone.
