Le World Padel Tour decided “unilaterally” to cease “all collaborations” with Monte Carlo International Sports a few days ago.

For simple observers, it's obviously a shame when you see the huge work and investment of Monte Carlo International Sport for over 2 years now.

Monte Carlo Master Padel Masters, Sponsorship of unknown players, etc.

Below is the Monte Carlo International Sport press release regarding this situation:

Monte-Carlo International Sports - World Padel tour

Monaco, 21 June 2017.

Monte-Carlo International Sports, an entity focused on the objective of contributing to the international development of Padel, regrets to communicate the decision of the organization of world padel tour to no longer work with us on our sole objective, the padel.

It is obvious that it is not good for two of the main players in the development of a sport to stop collaborating, but since Monte Carlo International Sports, we can only accept the decision they have made and wish them good luck. luck in the future.

We do not share the reasons given by the world padel tour to terminate our partnership agreement, in which it was agreed, among other things, to end Monte Carlo Padel Master and maintenance of the Fabrice Pasteur Cup.

Beyond the differences of criteria on certain known topics, we reject the arguments mentioned by the wpt in order to put an end to the agreement and we simply regret the personal differences which exist with certain leaders.

At Monte-Carlo International Sports, we can be proud of our results:

• 2 editions of Monte Carlo Padel Master, perhaps the best event organized to date;

• 3 editions of the Fabrice Pasteur Cup in Latin America which helped many young people to professionalize (Juan Tello, fede chingotto, Javier Valdés, Lucas Bergamini, etc.); one, for the padel with the entry of new players of very high level and a chance for young people without the possibility of accessing the wpt to reach even the semi-finals in the challenger of Madrid.

• About ten international events organized in Europe (Sweden, Italy, France) with the sole aim of promoting padel outside of Spain.

• The establishment of a club of padel next to Monaco (tennis padel Sun).

• Personal support in sponsoring many players, including especially new players, with limited resources .;

Ultimately, a few years of tireless work, illusion, effort ... that we thought have helped to improve the situation of the padel on the international scene. With our successes and our failures, but without stopping to work.

In this journey, we have had support, many, but also detractors, organizations installed in a way interested in padel, which may have disturbed our desire to do things right and to change matters that we feel can be improved. It is obvious that when a company invests, it is because it seeks a return and not only respectable, but that it is to thank the enormous investment effort made by the main support of the padel professional, star damm. The Padel Has definitely improved, and it can still be improved.

At monte-Carlo International Sports you are passionate about this sport, we believe that it can become an even more professional and international sport. This will remain our objective, although we are expressly informed that "all the staff of the organization of the wppt will have to reject any action, relation or intervention on the circuit".

In this line, we must also express our regret, because we know that service providers linked to the circuit have already been banned and that we are trying to harm or limit the action of people whose living environment is not not other than the padel. Finally, once again, we regret that the differences in personal criteria affect third parties who were at padel before us and that the wppt itself. We apologize for the damage caused unintentionally and the wppt we ask you not to harm other professionals.

From Monte-Carlo International Sports, we want the padel continues to grow and our intention is to continue in this direction to the extent of our possibilities and those of those who represent the essential in the padel.
