Meeting with the 2269th player in the ranking of padel of the FFT, Thomas Lhomme, who will participate in the next Ninja Warrior show, broadcast on January 28 on TF1.

The Jura is already happy to have passed the selections for the show, which was not won:

"Out of 10 people who apply for Ninja Warrior, only 000 are taken and complete the course, and I was lucky enough to be one of those 200! My family calls me the Jura Ninja (laughs).”

And when asked if the padel helped him, this is what Thomas replies:

At the cardio level, the padel can help. On the other hand, faced with the trials of Ninja Warrior, we are alone. You can only rely on yourself. We don't have a partner who can come to help us and on whom we can rely.

But more generally, racket sports have helped me a lot since I also play tennis, I am ranked 15/3. In terms of endurance, the strength of the grip, I think it's an asset. At padel, we must have a very firm wrist too. And on some Ninja Warrior events, it can be a plus and it's good training anyway.

Le padel forces you to focus on a goal, to think quickly. And on Ninja Warrior, we don't have time to procrastinate, we also have to think quickly and sometimes establish a strategy to overcome obstacles."

Licensed to Esprit Padel Lyon, the one who has completed 22 tournaments padel last season obviously has a few goals in this sport:

"At padel, I have the goal of reaching the top 1000 quickly. I was 3027 last December and today I am 2269th. The par 3 is my favorite shot and here again we can say that the power of the smashes served me on the course!”

Visibly padel and Ninja Warrior seem to go well together, we will closely follow Thomas' performance at the end of January!
