Meeting with the 2269th player in the FFT padel ranking, Thomas Lhomme, who will participate in the next Ninja Warrior show, broadcast on January 28 on TF1.
The Jura is already happy to have passed the selections for the show, which was not won:
"Out of 10 people who apply for Ninja Warrior, only 000 are taken and complete the course, and I was lucky enough to be one of those 200! My family calls me the Jura Ninja (laughs).”

And when asked if padel helped him, this is what Thomas answers:
At the cardio level, padel can help. On the other hand, when faced with Ninja Warrior challenges, you are alone. You can only count on yourself. You don't have a partner who can come and help you and on whom you can rely.
But more generally, racket sports have helped me a lot since I also play tennis, I am ranked 15/3. In terms of endurance, grip strength, I think it is an asset. In padel, you have to have a firm wrist too. And in some Ninja Warrior events, it can be a plus and it is good training anyway.
Padel forces you to focus on a goal, to think quickly. And in Ninja Warrior, you don't have time to procrastinate, you also have to think quickly and sometimes establish a strategy to overcome obstacles."
Licensed to Esprit Padel Lyon, who played 22 padel tournaments last season, obviously has some goals in this sport:
“In padel, my goal is to reach the top 1000 quickly. I was 3027 last December and today I am 2269th. The par 3 is my favorite shot and here again we can say that the power of the smashes served me on the course!”
Obviously padel and Ninja Warrior seem to go well together, we will be following Thomas' performance closely at the end of January!
