The 2024 season of padel is starting little by little, notably with the first tournament of theUltimate Padel Tour to Coruña, synonymous with the start of the season for many. The semi-finals are now known and this tournament has already given rise to many surprises, with the elimination of certain favorite pairs.

For its part, seeded 2, Diestro/Leal, managed to reach the last four… but at what cost. During the 8e final, pitting Javi Leal and José Diestro against Pablo Lijo et Miguel Semmler, a scene of tension on the bench caught the attention, between Javi and José.

The first set is hung between the two pairs and we feel Javi Leal feverish. On the bench, coach Martin DAntonio asks his player how he feels. Follows a heated exchange :

Martin : "You're feeling good ?"
Javi : “I’m nervous, I can’t move because of the tension”
Martin : "It's perfect"

For his part, José Diestro tries to intervene, immediately taken back by his coach.

José : “Wait, shut up”
Martin : "No no no"
José : “Do easy things”

Martin then asks his player to calm down. José simply states that he wants to help but that he is starting to feel hot.

Simple heat stroke or first quarrels between the two players? There will have been no incident since they won their meeting.

However, the season has barely started and tensions are already there...
