Wendy Barsotti suffered a dislocated right shoulder in the P1000 de All In Padel Sports. The French player will therefore not be able to participate in the French team's internship for the Worlds.

I heard a clack

Padel Magazine : You just dislocated your shoulder, tell us what happened?

Wendy Barsotti:"I was playing on the left during the All In P1000 Padel Sports, just like back then. I thought I still had a strong shoulder but not at all..."

"On a smash I heard a click and my shoulder decided to dislocate, luckily it got back in place on its own 10 seconds later, but that was enough to damage the ligaments... We can say that it is a season that does not end on top."

Looking to the future

Padel Magazine : This injury will therefore have a consequence in the very short term, namely the internship in the France team...

Wendy Barsotti:"Exact. I saw my doctor and he put me on total shutdown for three weeks, the time to heal. So I called coach Robin Haziza to tell him that I will not be able to attend the selection camp this year.

Padel Magazine : …But also at the Worlds? And the French Championships?

Wendy Barsotti:“I don't want to project myself that far, I'm waiting to find out if my shoulder is being treated well. And the main thing is not there, I see further and project myself towards a new full season.

“This season has been complicated. This injury marks the renewal of something beautiful. I went to Spain to allow me to take a step forward in my game and my goals. I am looking to the future!"

My ambitions are unchanged

Padel Magazine : How do you approach the recovery, and the season to come? Have you found a teammate for next year?

Wendy Barsotti:"I will follow exactly what my doctor told me to do, I will not take any unnecessary risks. It is important for me to heal myself perfectly so that I can resume in the best possible conditions. For that I start physio sessions to help healing.
I also called on Marianne Vandaele, I am a big believer in magnetic healing and she is the best for it. The body is amazing and with its help miracles are possible.”

“My ambitions are unchanged! I want to start my 2023 season even more, my body is sending me a message, I'm listening. 2022 is behind me, I look forward to the great year that awaits me.”

"Regarding the search for a partner, it was not my priority right after my injury, but nothing worries me, everything comes to the point who knows how to wait.e. "
